success stories

Through our suite of programs and initiatives, we work with young people to help them get the support and resources they need to build a better life and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Mamadou Moussa Diallo

After completing an intensive coaching program and community service activities in his home country Guinea, we were able to successfully place Mamadou (on left) into an American higher education institution. Today, we are proud to say that he is attending Berkeley College in New York.

Aboubakar Melegakis Barry

After completing high school in Liberia, Aboubakar (on right) abandoned continuing his education. He had lost hope and inspiration, and considered emigrating abroad via clandestine immigration—an effort his parents were willing to support. AICC intervened and dissuaded both Aboubakar and his parents from pursuing this route. AICC helped Aboubakar further his education via our Study in USA program. AICC assisted Aboubakar in the college application process, involved him in community service projects, and prepared him for his student visa interview. Today, Aboubakar is attending Berkeley College in New York.

Aissatou Bah

When we first met Aissatou Bah, her biggest challenge was managing her responsibilities as a mother and continuing her college education. Originally from Guinea, Aissatou was able to find her passion and inspiration when she enrolled in our College Leadership Workshop. Based on recommendations from the workshop, Aissatou discovered her passion for healthcare. AICC assisted her in registering for the NYS Medical Assistant exam. Today, Aissatou has passed her Medical Assistant NYS exam, and is balancing her role of being a mother of three children and pursuing her professional career.

Amadu Kanu

After the Civil War in Sierra Leone, Amadu had lost his parents and his siblings. At a young age, Amadu was forced into child labor. When AICC was contacted by Amadu, all he requested was assistance in furthering his education and helping others. Amadu participated in our Study in USA program and Extreme Youth Promotion program. Today, Amadu is attending college in the U.S.

Saik Oumar Barry

When he arrived in the U.S., AICC assisted Saik in acculturating with the American way of life by providing him a comprehensive integration strategy. Originally from Guinea, Saik is now registered in school and pursuing his career aspirations.

Mariam & Battouly

Mariam and Battouly are sisters who decided to explore other career paths after college. Having a common interest in becoming real estate professionals, both sisters passed their real estate exam and are now on their way to start their chosen passion.

community service projects

Through our Study Club program, we organize service projects in local communities that have positive impact.
